10 Things To Do On El Valle Golf Resort

El Valle is a truly fantastic resort with a great community, stunning views of the El Valle and Garruchal mountain ranges and different things for everyone to do.
Here are just a few things you can do at El Valle Golf Resort.

1. Golf
Obviously staying on a golf resort, you might be interested in a round of golf on the Jack-Nicklaus-designed golf course. You can get a discounted price at Love Golf Play Golf. You can get either 18 holes or 9 holes plus there are cheaper options for twilight golf. There are cart and buggy services and golf club rentals in the golf shop or here.

2. Sandalo Restaurant
El Valle is very lucky to have the popular Sandalo Restaurant serving delicious food all day including full English breakfast and tostadas con tomate in the morning, club sandwiches, steaks or fish and chips at lunch, as well as fine dining meals in the evening. The views from the terrace overlooking the 18th hole are definitely something not to miss and having a nice glass of wine while watching the light fade in the evenings is something all residents and holiday makes love to do.

3. Hit the Gym
Fitness has become a huge part of most people’s daily routines and El Valle has you covered. With their inside gym facility in the clubhouse, you can get your sweat on while pumping iron or taking a nice 30-minute ride. You must have an electronic fob to gain access, so please ask the owner of the property for details on when to collect it.

4. Tennis
El Valle has its own on-site tennis court, so for anyone wanting to hit a few balls and have a mini-tournament with some friends, this is ideal for you. The key is kept in the gatehouse and a small deposit must be left, but returned upon the key return. Rackets are normally in rental properties but we can also source some for anyone wanting to hit a few balls.

5. Padel
Not only does El Valle have its own tennis court but it also has a padel court for the ever-so-popular Padel. Not many people know the rules, or how to play, but you can quickly learn the squash/tennis-style game by watching a few youtube videos. The key to the court is also at the gatehouse.

6. Go for a walk
El Valle is situated on the base of the Garruchal/El Valle mountain range in Murcia, which means we have 100’s of different walking tracks to follow, from 2 km to 20kms in distance. How do you find these tracks? Well, there are many places, but the best App we have used is wikilocs. If you download the app and follow a few routes starting from the entrance of the resort, we are sure you will fall in love with the countryside as well as the resort.

7. Softplay (For Young Children)
El Valle also caters to younger children, with an onsite soft play located in the clubhouse. The soft play is perfect for all young children from 1-8 years old. Dive into the ball pit or head up to the second level and play with friends. The key is located in the clubhouse restaurant, you will need to ask a member of staff in Sandalo and leave your name and contact number. It is free to use for all residents and rentals.

8. Parks (For Young Children)
El Valle is also great for outside fun. There are 5 different play parks perfect for all ages on the resort. These parks have things for ages 3 and upwards such as swings, slides, climbing frames and for the daredevils, a zip line.

9. Rent a bike
There are a few companies who do bike rentals and although there are plenty of routes off the resort to do, there is also the bike lane around the roads of the resort which you can use. If you go off the resort, you can head up to the neighbouring resort Altaona, or if you’re feeling adventurous, Garruchal. This is a hidden gem for cyclists and locals with great food surrounded by mountains and greenery.

10. Stay at home
Although there are many things to do at the resort outside of your property, something we always suggest is to enjoy the property you are in. All the villas have their own private pools and 5 different community pools to choose from for the apartment. You can put on some relaxing music while laying in the sun, maybe a barbecue to get the summery feel going or in the evenings curl up and watch a movie on TV. Some properties even have projectors in their gardens (outside film night, what an amazing idea!)
